Surgery Appointments & Specialist Visits

Before scheduling a patient for a procedure an exam is required. Depending on the type of procedure, pre-anesthetic blood work may be required. A treatment plan/estimate is generated to outline all costs included in the procedure during the patient exam.
Pre-procedure deposit is then taken at time of procedure scheduling.

Pre-op instructions:

  • No food after 8 pm the night before the procedure, water is ok unless instructed otherwise
  • drop off time is scheduled by the front desk team, typically a slot between 8-8:30 am.
  • Procedures typically happen around the lunch hour, the owner is called as soon as the patient is in recovery with an update and patient release time is scheduled typically after 4 pm, again team member schedules release time, at that time all post-care instructions and medications are explained.
  • 24hr cancellation $150 deposit
  • the patient must be current on rabies vaccine, unless under 16weeks
  • the patient is fully anesthetized
  • spay/neuter procedures are asked to have restricted movements and are seen 10 days post-procedure for a follow-up exam & suture removal.

For ultrasound specialists:

  • 48hr cancellation policy $150 deposit
  • no food after 8 pm the night before the procedure, water is ok unless instructed otherwise
  • drop off time is scheduled by the front desk team, typically a slot between 8-8:30 am.
  • The owner will be called with an update as soon as the procedure is finished. On the call, patient release time is scheduled and post-care instructions and medications are explained.
  • the patient must be current on rabies vaccine, unless under 16weeks.
  • the patient may need to be sedated.
