Preparation
- Records: Bring any existing vaccination history or medical notes from prior vets.
- Safety: Ensure your pet is securely on a leash or in a carrier before arrival.
The Appointment Flow
- Check-In & History: You’ll complete New Client Paperwork (contact info, pet details). A staff member will review your pet’s current primary concern and lifestyle history.
- Triage & Vitals: A Vet Tech will usually take weight and check basic vitals before the doctor enters.
- Comprehensive Exam: The Veterinarian performs a nose-to-tail physical assessment. For new patients, this often includes a detailed discussion about preventative care (flea/tick, heartworm) appropriate for your pet’s age.
- Plan & Next Steps: We’ll discuss any recommended diagnostics (like fecal tests or baseline bloodwork) and create a customized health plan.
Wrapping Up
At checkout, we’ll clarify your pet’s ongoing care schedule and process payment for today’s services. Please ask if you have any questions about your records or the plan!
